What does develop.hangseng provide?

develop.hangseng provides technical documentation and testing facilities related to the Open Banking interfaces we’ve implemented. To help you get to the resources you need, here is a summary of what the portal currently provides in each market.

Registration on develop.hangseng

To access testing facilities for our Public APIs in Hong Kong SAR you will need to register on develop.hangseng first.

1. Go to 'Register' to set up your account.
2. Activate your account using the link sent via confirmation email.
3. You will now be able to access the Testing Facilities in Sandbox and generate test certificates in order to access our testing facilities.

You don’t need to register to access the API documentation.

Technical documentation

All our technical documentation as well as guidance on how to use our testing facilities can be accessed from the API Catalogue. Use the filters to identify the cards which correspond to the resources you are interested in.

Our detailed implementation guides provide details of how to integrate our API into your app. Each end point has the sandbox function and you can also download the swagger file.

Testing facilities

When you’re ready to test, we have implemented testing facilities for our Open Banking APIs in Hong Kong SAR.

Open Banking API Sandbox

After completing registration, you will have access to the sandbox. Here you can create a project for your App, where you will be guided through the process to receive the credentials to access the sandbox. For assistance, access the Sandbox Getting Started guide within the API documentation.
